A roll is not a slice
A chicken roll at a pizzeria is a baked dough wrapped around chicken and cheese, cut into pieces you can pick up. It is closer to a stromboli than to a slice of round pizza, and closer to a stuffed bread than to a hero. You do not fold it. You eat a piece the way you eat a pinwheel. Shops also sell sausage rolls, pepperoni rolls, spinach rolls, and eggplant rolls. Chicken is the version people ask about when they did not grow up ordering one.
The dough is pizza dough. The filling is the variable: breaded chicken, grilled chicken, or chicken tossed with a hotter sauce. Sauce and mozzarella are common. Some rolls add a sharp cheese. The roll is sealed, baked until the outside is firm, and sliced. That is the whole idea. It is bar food and lunch food and 'we already ordered a pie but someone wants chicken' food.
How it differs from the things next to it
A hero is a sandwich on a long roll, dressed like a deli. A chicken parm hero is cutlet, sauce, and cheese in bread you did not bake around the filling. A chicken roll bakes the filling inside the dough, so the outside is pizza crust, not a sliced loaf.
A calzone is a related cousin: dough folded over cheese and sometimes meat, often served in a paper sleeve. A roll is usually longer, sliced into several pieces, and meant to be shared or eaten by the piece. A stromboli is the same family. At a lot of counters the words roll and stromboli overlap. If you care about the shape, ask. If you care about the filling, order by the name of the chicken.
A chicken pizza is different again. That is a round or square pie with chicken as a topping. You get a slice with a rim. A roll does not have a rim. The chicken is in the spiral.
What to expect when you order one
Plan on sharing unless you are very hungry. A roll is rich. Dough, cheese, and chicken in one bite adds up faster than a plain slice. Pair it with a salad or a plain pie if the table is mixed. It reheats better in a hot oven or a pan than in a stack of napkins in a car, but it is still a fine pickup item if you eat it soon.
Ask about heat. A buffalo version is the one with hot sauce. A plain chicken roll is usually tomato sauce, not a spicy coating. If someone does not eat blue cheese, say so before you order a buffalo roll, because that style often includes it. Allergens are the same warning as the rest of the menu: wheat in the dough, milk in the cheese, and whatever is in the chicken breading. Call the shop if that is a medical issue, not a preference.
The chicken rolls on our menu
Brooklyn's Finest Pizza lists three in the rolls section, and the descriptions below are the menu's words, not a new recipe. The chicken roll is strips of breaded chicken topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella. The grilled chicken roll is strips of grilled chicken topped with tomato sauce and mozzarella. The buffalo chicken roll is chicken, blue cheese, and hot sauce. Those are three different fillings. Order the one that matches the chicken you actually want.
The same section includes other rolls — broccoli, pepperoni, eggplant, spinach, meatball, sausage, and a rabe and sausage roll — plus a stromboli described as pizza crust filled with melted cheese. This article stays on chicken because that is the search. The menu is the full list, and it is where prices live. They are not repeated here, because a blog should not freeze a number the shop can change.

When a roll is the right order
Order a chicken roll when you want chicken and cheese inside dough, not a slice and not a hero. Order the breaded one for cutlet. Order the grilled one if you do not want breading. Order the buffalo one if you want hot sauce and blue cheese and you mean it. Add a pie if the rest of the table is not in the mood for a spiral.
For a larger group, rolls are a side, not the whole plan. Pies, heroes, and catering trays scale better. Half trays serve 6–9 people and full trays serve 10–15. A birthday in the dining room is the parties page. A chicken roll is still a good extra on that ticket if someone asks for one.
A chicken roll pizzeria order is a normal counter request at 1250 Hylan Boulevard. Come in, call, or use Order Online. If you have only had round slices, start with one roll and a plain pie and see which one you finish first.
The rolls section is easy to miss if you only scan the pizza names. Look for Brooklyn's Finest Rolls on the menu, then pick the chicken filling by the description, not by a photo from another shop. Breaded, grilled, and buffalo are different orders. If you are picking up for a game or a car full of people, add the roll as one item among pies and heroes rather than as the only food. And if someone needs the grilled version because they are skipping breading, say grilled when you order so the kitchen does not default to the breaded chicken roll.
