Cheap means a printed price, not a prize
Cheap eats Staten Island is a hunt for a filling order that does not turn into a splurge. Brooklyn's Finest Pizza will not call itself the cheapest kitchen on the island, because that would be a ranking we have not earned and cannot prove. What we can do is point at the small prices on our own menu, at 1250 Hylan Boulevard, Staten Island, NY 10305.
A cheese slice is $2.99. Garlic knots are $3.99. A hot dog is $4.49, plain or with sauerkraut or onions. A personal round cheese pie is $11.99 for 6 slices. A whole wheat pan cheese pizza is $10.99, also a personal. Those are the low end of this menu. A large cheese pie at $19.49 feeds more people, so the price per person can land lower even though the ticket is bigger. Do the math for your table. Do not take a blog's word for a bargain.
What is not a cheap-eats trick
There is no published lunch special and no secret afternoon discount. The lunch specials page says the menu is the same from open to close. The specials page has NFL, weekend, and catering bundles with their own prices. Those are deals for a specific combination, not a coupon you stack on a slice. Order a special as printed, or order the slice on its own.
Entrées and specialty pies cost more because they are more food. Chicken parmigiana is $18.99. A cheesesteak pizza is $23.99. They are on the menu if the table changes its mind. They are not the cheap ticket. Heroes mostly sit in the low teens. A chicken parm hero is $13.99. Read the menu before you promise someone a specific sandwich at a specific price.
How to keep the order small
Hours are Monday through Thursday 10:00 AM to 10:00 PM, Friday and Saturday 10:00 AM to 10:30 PM, and Sunday 10:30 AM to 10:00 PM. A slice and a soda is a counter order. You can sit in the dining room with it. You can also take it. Delivery inside 4 miles is available, and checkout confirms the address. A delivery of one slice may not be the errand you want. Pickup is the natural cheap order.

Use the prices, then decide
Cheap eats Staten Island includes plenty of shops this page will not describe. Ours is one address with a public menu. If $2.99 for a cheese slice, $3.99 for knots, or $4.49 for a hot dog is the meal, come to 1250 Hylan Boulevard or order it. If you need a tray for a crowd, the per-person math changes and the catering page is the right list. Half trays serve 6–9.
The hot dogs page stays on that one item. The food page is the rest of the kitchen. Nothing here is a coupon code. The number on the order site, on the day you pay, is the cheap eat.
A small order is still a real order. Put a name on it if you are picking it up, and do not expect a slice to be held for an hour. The shop is busy on Friday and Saturday evenings, which is when a $2.99 slice is fastest at the counter and slowest if you called ahead for one piece. Come in, or order a pie if you are feeding more than yourself. Cheap is the printed price. It is not a promise that the line will be empty.
